install windows xp to flashdisk or external harddisk

Before we start to install windows xp to flash / hdd we can prepare some equipment
1, Windows XP SP2 CD (it is stable for this time)
2, 1 blank cd
3, Program to create & edit ISO files

Additional: before starting, format your usb disk with the software HP USB Disk Storage Format, you can format to ntfs, can be downloaded here

Steps
1. Create windows xp to iso first ,you can use nero image drive, if you use ultra iso you can right-click on the cd room, create iso file
2. Open iso with software, after that open i386 folder and delete this file, there are 5 files
# DOSNET.INF
# TXTSETUP.SIF
# USB.IN_
# USBPORT.IN_
# USBSTOR.IN_
3. Download this file

After downloaded that file, put into the i386 folder, they are 6 files
* USBBOOT.INF
* DOSNET.INF
* TXTSETUP.SIF
* USB.IN_
* USBPORT.IN_
* USBSTOR.IN_

registry file that windows can work in the USB is USBBOOT.INF

4. Save that ISO, and burn to blank cd
5. We must put off internal hdd from the computer and plugin external hdd or flashdisk, if not windows will be installed to the internal hdd
6. Log in to bios and seting, change your boot configuration..usb boot is 1st, and 2nd for cd room boot.
7. You can directly boot to the CD-ROM drive and start to install windows xp, at the installation don't format your hard disk because its has been formated at the beginning, you can select the leave this partition menu, no change

Note: there are some motherboard / hard disk would not install a windows on this, an old series motherboard
There are 2 issues with the installation
1. At the time of the process there is potential for progress to install USB devices warning "not certified", just press YES untill the warning not shown
2. After entry in windows will have more about the warning Page File, just ignore the problem, because there is no effect with the instalation

Note: some computer after successfully installing apear Blue Screen, Most of the blue screen is the motherboard AMD, for intel is 80%
